The Television Series

"We Run The Money" is the exciting untold, dramatic saga of the first sports super-heroes in America, African American Jockeys, and the early days of the first great Spectator Sport in our history, the Kentucky Derby.  These original sports heroes faced dark forces of racism and greed, and their epic stories were literally written out of history during the Jim Crow era.  We Run The Money will focus on these jockeys, their lives, loves and the powerful men and forces working against them in the first quarter century of the Kentucky Derby, 1875 to 1902.  This era was flavored by  not only heavy betting, but trash talking, managers, the KKK and influence of the Irish mob.  It all happens at Churchill Downs through the memory of Jimmy Winkfield, the last black man to win the Derby in 1901 and 1902.  Follow the money, the intrigue, the drama, glory, and the mysterious and tragic end of the greatest untold era in thoroughbred horseracing and American sports!  We are producing a 15 part dramatic TV streaming series as well as a 4 part sister documentary series, "The Ghosts of Kentucky".
